Flashing & Sealing Tapes
Flashing tapes are self-adhering tapes used around windows and doors to prevent water damage. They provide a durable, waterproof seal and prevent rainwater from seeping into gaps between frames, siding, and trim on buildings and homes. They are easy to apply, and bond to a variety of materials including rugged surfaces like stucco. They are compatible with many types of sealants, which offer extra protection from vapor and liquid water. Conformable (easy to shape) and tough, flashing tapes are thin enough to fit in tight spaces under siding and in corners, but tough enough to resist puncturing. Some types of flashing tapes can adhere to damp surfaces, but most require clean, dry surfaces prepped for flashing.
