Sanding Belts

R.S. Hughes provides abrasive sanding belts. Abrasive sanding belts are used for deburring, grinding, blending, finishing, and polishing. Belts can be backed with cloth, paper, or film. Cloth-backed belts are more durable for heavy-duty use, while paper-backed belts are more flexible. Film-backed belts are best for fine finishing work. Waterproof polyester cloth backings are available for wet sanding. Abrasive belts can have a closed, semi-open, or open coat type. Common abrasive types include aluminum oxide, alumina zirconia, silicon carbide, and ceramic. Choose from very coarse to ultrafine grade, or corresponding grit, depending on material being worked and level of precision required.
