Surface protective films and tapes prevent surface scratches and wear and protect surfaces from dirt, contaminants, and paint overspray. Extremely abrasion resistant, surface protective films are made of polyethylene or polypropylene. They provide superior protection whether used for rough manufacturing processes or inside the home to prolong the life of carpets. Water resistant, surface protective films can also be used outdoors and for transporting materials. The adhesive side sticks to a variety of surfaces, including metal, carpet, vinyl, and stone. The top side is non-skid to prevent slips and falls. Surface protective tapes have a much longer life and are used for masking in addition to surface protection. Surface protective films and tapes are commonly used in the automotive, aerospace, marine, and construction industries.
