Shipping Policy

Shipping Methods and Options:

We primarily use UPS to ship all orders, but we occasionally use FedEx or USPS, and DHL for international orders. We offer the following shipping options: ground, next-day air, next-day air (early AM), second-day air, and third-day air.

Shipping Cost:

We offer free ground shipping on online orders of $249 or more. For qualified product orders under $249, UPS Ground shipping is $14.95.

Some restrictions apply. Shipping charges will apply to products requiring special handling including hazardous materials, oversized items, and expedited shipping services. If an item or items don't qualify for free freight, shipping costs are calculated based on size, weight, destination, and method of shipping.

Shipping destinations in Contiguous United States only. Offer applies to UPS Ground shipping only. UPS Ground shipping is $14.95 for qualified product orders under $249.

Shipping Times:

Shipping times are dependent on method of shipping, but for UPS ground shipping, all USA orders are 1-5 business days. We typically ship orders the same day that the order is placed, within our normal operating business hours. If the order is placed outside of our business hours, it will be shipped out the next business day.

Lead times listed for products on R.S. Hughes are calculated from data relevant to past orders. We evaluate the average lead time for an item over the past 12 months and display that to give users an approximate sense of when they can expect to receive their items.

Lead times displayed on our website are not guaranteed. We choose to display lead time estimates to help our customers make purchasing decisions that will affect their business.

Order Tracking:

Customers can view their online order history by logging in to their R.S. Hughes Web Account.

Order history displays information such as the customer-set purchase order number, date the order was placed, the total cost of the order, the order shipping status, and the order reference number.

For updates on orders placed over the phone or in person, please contact your account representative or submit a contact form request, and your local branch will reach out to you for assistance.

International Shipping:

R.S. Hughes does offer international shipping. We don't guarantee international shipping for all items, and shipping rates may vary, but we accommodate our international customers to the best of our ability on a case-by-case basis.

International shipping orders are handled by the R.S. Hughes branch nearest to your location.

Lost or Damaged Packages:

As each order is unique, and some items must be shipped or handled differently, so the solutions we can provide to fix the issue are varied. It is always our goal to handle our customers' orders with care and urgency. We want your experience to be positive, efficient, and professional. If an error is discovered with your order after shipment or receipt of your items, contact your R.S. Hughes Store or reach out to your personal account representative for assistance or contact our team by clicking here.

Return & Refund Policy

Authorized items for return can be shipped back to R.S. Hughes or dropped off at your local R.S. Hughes location.

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure that all returns are processed as quickly and efficiently as possible:

  • Call 877-774-8443 or email your RSH Location and request authorization for return. (Returns cannot be accepted without prior authorization).
  • Restocking charges may apply to authorized returns.
  • Claims for discrepancies in shipment need to be made within 7 days of receipt of merchandise.
  • Materials need to be returned within 30 days from date of shipment.
  • Made to Order & Custom Orders are not returnable, unless the material is determined to be defective.
  • No cancellations, returns, refunds or credits for Made To Order materials.
  • Adhesives & Sealants, are non-returnable if opened.
  • R.S. Hughes may be prohibited from offering returns on certain products due to VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) restrictions set by various federal, state, local and other authorities. VOC restrictions may change without notice.

All returns and refunds need to be authorized by an R.S. Hughes Representative.

Payment & Credit Terms

R.S. Hughes Company, Inc. ("R.S. Hughes") accepts cash, company checks, electronic payments, wire transfers, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. For customers with established R.S. Hughes credit, payment terms are net thirty (30) days from the date of shipment or pick-up.

To apply for an open credit line with Net 30 Terms, please complete our Credit Request Form, which will be reviewed by our Sales and Credit Team.

All credit extended by R.S. Hughes to customer, and the limits of such credit, is at R.S. Hughes' sole discretion, and may be reduced or revoked by R.S. Hughes at any time, for any reason. R.S. Hughes reserves the right to charge a convenience fee for late payments. R.S. Hughes further reserves the right to charge customer a late payment fee at the rate of one and one-half percent (1-1/2%) of the amount due for each month or portion thereof that the amount due remains unpaid, or such lesser amount as may be permitted under applicable law. Anticipation and cash discounts are not allowed. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars or the currency billed on the invoice. R.S. Hughes shall have the right of set-off and deduction for any sums owed by customer to R.S. Hughes.

If customer fails to make payment within thirty (30) days of shipment or pick-up, or fails to comply with R.S. Hughes' credit terms, or fails to supply adequate assurance of full performance to R.S. Hughes within a reasonable time after requested by R.S. Hughes (such time as specified in R.S. Hughes' request), R.S. Hughes may defer shipments until such payment or compliance is made, require cash in advance for any further shipments, demand immediate payment of all amounts then owed, elect to pursue collection action (including without limitation, attorneys' fees and any and all other associated costs of collection), and/or may, at its option, cancel all or any part of an unshipped order.

Customer agrees to assume responsibility for, and customer hereby unconditionally guarantees payment of, as provided herein, all purchases made by customer, its subsidiaries and affiliates. Each of customer's subsidiaries and affiliates purchasing from R.S. Hughes will be jointly and severally liable for purchases with customer, and customer is also acting as agent for such subsidiaries and affiliates.

Credit Balance. Customer agrees that any credit balance(s) issued by R.S. Hughes will be applied to customer's account within two (2) years of its issuance. IF CUSTOMER HAS NOT APPLIED FOR OR REQUESTED THE CREDIT WITHIN TWO (2) YEARS, ANY REMAINING CREDIT BALANCE(S) WILL BE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION, AND R.S. HUGHES SHALL HAVE NO FURTHER LIABILITY.

R.S. Hughes FACTA Compliance Policy: R.S. Hughes Company, Inc. shall not print the expiration date or more than the last five digits of a customer's credit card or debit card on electronically printed customer receipts.
