Cartridge Rolls
A cartridge roll consists of a cloth-backed strip rolled around a cylinder so that as the outer layer wears away a new layer is exposed. Cartridge rolls are used for deburring, blending, and finishing very contoured and difficult-to-sand areas. Rolls can have a straight or tapered edge. Common abrasives include aluminum oxide and ceramic. Choose from very coarse to ultrafine grade, or corresponding grit, depending on material being worked and level of precision required. Use with cartridge roll mandrels, sold separately.
