Most of our tapes are pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) that form a bond with light pressure, though some may be water- or heat-activated. Tapes can be single-sided or double-sided, and may be permanent or removable. Many of our high-strength tapes come with a release liner on the adhesive side that is removed before application. Common tape backings include fabric, metal foil, foam, paper, and a variety of plastics.
For specific applications, double-sided foam tapes are ideal for mounting, glass cloth tapes work well in high-heat conditions, and copper tape is a great conductor for electrical projects. Adhesives used in our tapes include rubber, acrylic, and silicone. Silicone adhesives offer the highest temperature resistance and are excellent for aerospace and foil tapes, while rubber adhesives are suited for moderate temperatures, and acrylic adhesives provide greater temperature resistance, often used in conductive and masking tapes.
