Hammers and Mallets

Hammers are used for driving nails and used in construction. There are many types of Hammers including claw hammers, ball peen hammers, club hammers, tack hammers, and sledge hammers. Standard claw hammers and ball peen hammers are used for driving nails and tacks into wood or other surfaces. They are often constructed of heavy, hard, and durable materials that will have a long useful life.

Mallets are a type of hammer, they differ from other types of hammers in that they can be made of rubber, wood or hard synthetic materials. These materials are used to make mallets because they are softer than metals, and can be used with a chisel or similar device. The softer material construction of mallets allows them to be used to drive objects without leaving marks or indentations after use.
