Filament Strapping Tapes
Filament strapping tapes are pressure-sensitive tapes with an embedded filament material which adds a tremendous amount of strength. The filaments provide the strength needed to bundle boxes, or other shipped items, together for greater protection and safety. Filament strapping tapes can also be used in place of standard box sealing tapes but are most often used in applications where greater strength is needed. Fiberglass yarn is the most common filament but polyester and polypropylene are also used as the reinforcing materials. Additionally, most filament strapping tapes embed multiple strands of material running parallel the length of the tape.
