Die-cut thermal transfer printer label rolls can be cut into custom shapes, lengths and sizes and are used with thermal transfer printers. These types of printers melt ink on to labels using a ribbon with three separate layers: a base material, heat-melting ink and a coating. The layers enhance a label's scratch- and light-resistant properties, while the base material and coating prevent ink from sticking to the printhead.
