Protective Clothing
Protective clothings keep the wearer safe from hazardous work conditions and/or keep workers visible. They include high-visibility and reflective pants, cut-resistant chaps and scrubs, welding apparel, and cleanroom pants. High-visibility and reflective pants make workers more visible in busy or low-light conditions. They are colored orange or yellow and are lined with reflective stripes that catch and throw light. Cut-resistant chaps allow workers to safely handle cutting tools and sharp objects. They resist slashes, punctures, cuts and abrasion. Scrubs and cleanroom pants provide a strong barrier against particulates, pathogens and liquid splash. Cleanroom pants also reduce the buildup of ESD (electrostatic discharge).
