Tape Primers
Tape primers are used to promote adhesion and prepare surfaces for tape application. They can be used on painted surfaces, porous surfaces, rubber, metal, various plastics, wood, and glass. Tape primers are applied with brushes, pads, rollers, or pressurized spray guns and are typically used with high-strength bonding tapes. These tapes replace screws, bolts, welds, and other mechanical fasteners. Used to permanently bond two materials together, high-strength bonding tapes gain an even stronger bond when used on surfaces primed with tape primer.
