Cable End Caps

Cable end caps seal exposed or frayed cable ends and protect them from environmental damage. They also insulate, seal against moisture and dirt, protect against chemicals and corrosive fluid and are commonly resistant to ultraviolet (UV) light. Cable end caps are used in both low- and high-voltage applications on telecommunication cables, electrical distribution cable ends and power cables. Cable end caps are sealed using either cold-shrink or heat-shrink technology. Cold-shrink cable end caps are mounted on a removable plastic core. Once the end cap is installed, the plastic core is removed to seal the assembly. Heat-shrink cable end caps form a seal once heat is applied. Both cold-shrink and heat-shrink cable end caps are typically made of PVC or polyolefin for strength and durability and can come with valves for pressurized applications.
