Cable Grounding Supplies
Cable grounding supplies are used to ground and rejacket buried cable and protect aboveground cable from lightning damage. They include grounding straps, clamps, braids and constant-force springs. Grounding straps redirect electric currents to prevent electrostatic discharge and can be either permanently or temporarily used on portable cables. Grounding braids are made up of interwoven wires that resist vibration, corrosion and fraying. Constant-force springs are used to attach grounding straps to cable and consist of spring steel coils that exert a constant force when unrolled, which eliminates the need for soldering when wrapped around cable.
