Cable protection and sealing kits seal cable against contaminants, moisture, abrasion and harsh weather. They typically contain cold-shrink sealing tubes for fast, easy installation. Cold-shrink tubes are matched to the specific size and diameter of an electrical cable and come mounted on a plastic core. Once the tube is inserted in the correct position on the cable, the plastic core unwinds and the tube shrinks to a tight fit on the cable.
