Drum Grounding Wires

Drum grounding wires facilitate an electrical connection between the drum and a true ground. Grounding wires help to create a safe working environment that complies with Uniform Fire Code, Division VIII, Section 79.803. The grounding wire may be connected to a common ground line while a bonding wire connects to other equipment. Alligator clips are the most common type of connector. Deluxe drum grounding wires feature an alligator clip on one end and a C-clamp on the other.
