ESD / Anti-Static Cleaners & Coatings
ESD/anti-static cleaners and coatings are used to treat surfaces, typically of electronic components, to remove static electricity. Anti-static cleaners are used to remove dust, dirt and fingerprints and prevent the buildup of static electricity. Some cleaners leave a thin film to repel dust. Coatings are typically available in liquid form and leave a thin, protective static dissipative coating that repels a static charge buildup when grounded. Coatings and cleaners can be applied in a variety of ways including spraying, spin coating or mechanically flow-coating, which produces a uniform thin layer.
