Hand Laps
Hand laps are used for grinding, deburring, and finishing. They consist of an abrasive grain bonded to a hand pad. The hand pad can be a flexible sponge or a more-rigid backing. Bond type can be metal or resin. Use with water or lubricant for increased durability. Common abrasive materials include aluminum oxide, diamond, and silicon carbide. Abrasive grades, and corresponding grits are fine to ultrafine for microabrasion.
