Retaining Compounds
Retaining compounds help lock non-threaded cylindrical parts such as automobile bearings, shafts, and bushings. These products offer protection against loosening from shock, vibration, leakage, and corrosion. Retaining compounds are anaerobic and cure to a solid form when exposed to metal ions in the absence of air. Some retaining compounds are designed to be permanent, while others can be removed by applying heat.
