Transition Connectors
Transition connectors create splices between differently sized wires and function similarly to reducer barrel connectors and step-down butt connectors, with each end designed to accommodate different wires. Transition connectors accommodate a wide range of wires, although most are made of aluminum for compatibility with aluminum and copper wire. Different transition connector designs are ideal for broad or specific power levels. Although many connectors can operate at up to 35 kilovolts (kV), specialized connectors are designed for specific voltages, e.g., 25 kilovolts only.
