Alligator Clips
Alligator clips clamp onto wires to create a solid, temporary electrical connection. Alligator clips feature a spring-loaded design for quick attachment and removal without additional tools. Also known as spring clips or crocodile clips, alligator clips contain pairs of serrated, tapered jaws to grip a broad range of conductors. They are commonly used as test leads and work as a solderless terminal for efficient testing. In many testing environments, one of the clip's jaws may be crimped to a wire for quicker connections. Small alligator clips are ideal for electrical labs and other indoor applications. Larger alligator clips are used as ends on automotive jumper cables.
