Fire Safety Labels
Fire safety labels identify fire hazards and the type of fire an extinguisher can put out. They include fire hazard labels and fire extinguisher labels. Fire hazard labels are used on machinery, equipment, cabinets that store flammable materials, paperwork and packages. They use text, pictograms or a combination of both to warn workers about a fire hazard. Fire extinguisher labels are placed on fire extinguishers to identify the class or classes of fire that the extinguisher can put out. Classes represent fire types such as flammable liquid and gas fires, electrical fires and ordinary combustible fires. Fire extinguisher labels typically identify both the class letter and class name.
