Masking paper is used primarily in the automotive industry to cover windows and protect surfaces against bleed through of gelcoat, urethane, and enamel paint. Masking paper resists the penetration of enamels, solvents, and lacquers and is designed to be used with masking tape. It is easily torn and conformable (easy to shape), fitting simply to different sized windows.
